Throwback To Summer

Santorini, Greece itself is an art piece; the white and blue covered homes light up the town.

Right when I saw the movie, "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," where the young girls went to Santorini and rode donkeys, I knew I wanted to take the same ride as them.  Little did I know it wouldn't be as fun as I imagined!

The animals weaved in and out wherever they pleased, and I had no way to stop them! I did get some incredible pictures though that I wanted to share! They were taken on my iPhone but still look amazing!

Let me know what you think of the photographs and I took! AND...What is your favorite city in Greece?

Ready For Spring!

Just thought I'd share a few spring looks that I just found while looking on Pinterest. With Spring Break right around the corner, it is about time to start getting out those white jeans and pastel-colored tops. Prepare for a day out on the beach!

Monster's Workin' It!

Just wanted to share this hilarious Monster ad! When I first saw it, I couldn't stop laughing.  I think it is great for the company's brand that connects users with jobs.

The ad catches the viewer's eye and really captures the mindset of Americans during the time it was aired.  People want jobs they enjoy, not simply jobs boring jobs they hate! That is what Monster can provide- great jobs that match the personality of the job seeker.

I believe the thinking behind this ad was to connect with the viewer's.  By creating an advertisement that is funny and entertaining while sharing the brand's motives, a potential consumer is able to understand what the company is and is shown how they can create better lives for themselves.

Ted Gilvar, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Monster, shared this ad in my Creativity class at SMU.

Homey Homes

Just ran across this photo I took a month ago when I went to East Texas for a weekend at a ranch- it is so beautiful even though it is extremely old!

Muffins, Muffins, Muffins

Thought this post fit perfect to go after my last post about Leah Foster's cupcake art! Who doesn't love yummy desserts and food?!

Just tried a new recipe for blueberry muffins- and it was a success! They only took about 10 minutes to prepare, and 20 minutes in the oven. Can't wait to eat them (and continue eating them throughout the week).

Bake something that makes you happy!

The Truth About Cupcakes

You'll never believe what one incredible artist has done with cupcakes-I know I couldn't when she first described her creations.

The young artist, Leah Foster, has created several art pieces using only cupcakes (some pieces with up to 10,000 treats) and fishing wire!

Artist Leah Foster

What is even cooler about this artist is that she is now using cupcakes to help with the self-esteem of young girls.  I was lucky enough to partake in one of her cupcake activities.

Foster asked each person to first grab a cupcake.  Next, we wrote our biggest fear or anxiety on a piece of paper and stuffed it into the cupcake... and just like that, the fear was GONE! A wide variety of icing, sprinkles and food dye covered the stage, and it was up to us to decorate the cupcake in how we see ourselves.

I decorated my cupcake with pink icing and rainbow sprinkles because I always want to have fun and look cute.  How would you ice your cupcake?
